By Rosalind Russell – The Town of Espanola has started its Spring flushing program.
Superintendent of Public Works, Dave Parker, says flushing all water mains and fire hydrants started yesterday and will be carried out over the next two weeks.
He says flushing will take place between 3:30pm and 11:30pm.
Parker adds flushing may cause temporary discoloration of water, loss of pressure and at times no availability for short periods, so run your water until it is clear.
For daily areas of flushing, listen to the Moose at around 9:18 A.M. or 3:49 P.M. and check out www.espanola.ca
Please refrain from doing laundry until 24 hours after flushing has been completed in your area.
Iron Out Rust Remover will be available at the Public Works Office (Fire Hall) at 592 Second Avenue if required.
