By Rosalind Russell – The Manitoulin OPP was on the scene of a serious collision on Highway 6 near Goat Island Road in the Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands Township last night.
On Monday night at approximately 6:15 p.m., the Manitoulin OPP responded to a two-vehicle collision between a passenger vehicle and a transport truck.
One driver has sustained serious life-threatening injuries as a result.
Highway 6 was closed in both directions between the Little Current Swing Bridge and Sunshine Valley Road near Birch Island.
The highway reopened shortly after midnight.
The investigation is ongoing.
