By Rosalind Russell – The province is investing another $1.6 billion dollars into the Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program.
The investment now nearly doubles the program to $4 billion.
Ford made the announcement it at the annual Association of Municipalities of Ontario conference yesterday.
Ford says record investments in housing and infrastructure are to keep workers on the job and help families across Ontario find a home that meets their needs and budgets.
Among other things, the program provides funding for infrastructure projects like roads and water systems to support growing and developing communities.
Since launching last year, the province says it has enabled the construction of 800,000 homes across Ontario.
