Anti-drug billboard unveiled in Whitefish River First Nation

By Rosalind Russell – New signage has been erected in Whitefish River First Nation with the message that drugs will not be tolerated.

Anishnawbek Police Services across the Manitoulin and North Shore have drawn together with the OPP to form the combined Manitoulin Anti-Drug Strategy.

Part of that strategy is the unveiling of an anti-drug billboard unveiled last week in Birch Island.

The services have joined together advocating the slogan “Together, we are building a safer Territory.”

More billboards will be mounted on First Nation territories soon.
