New executive director heads up Manitoulin – North Shore Victims Services

By Rosalind Russell A new executive director has been appointed at Manitoulin- North Shore Victims Services.

Cynthia (Cindy) Stewart will head up the organization that focuses on assisting victims of crimes and/or tragic circumstances.

Stewart joined the organization earlier this year as Program Coordinator bringing her life and communication skills to the new position.

Officials say she takes a holistic approach to support and healing for victims who access the service throughout Manitoulin Island and the North Shore Corridor.

She took over the position last week following the resignation of long-time executive director, Amy Collins who has moved into another career path.
