HIGHWAY 6 CLOSED FOR WEAPONS INVESTIGATION AFTER PERSON LOCATED INJURED

(LITTLE CURRENT, ON) – An injured person was located on Highway 6, resulting in a road closure while police conducted an investigation.

On Thursday, September 28, 2025, at approximately 1:15 a.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call reporting that a person was located on Highway 6 in the Assiginack Township with an injury caused by an edged weapon. The injured person was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Highway 6 was closed for a period of time as police conducted an investigation. As a result, the incident has been determined to be non-suspicious, and the investigation is complete.
