Manitoulin-Sudbury District Services Board adopts new Strategic Plan

By Rosalind Russell – A new Five-Year Strategic Plan has been given the green light for the Manitoulin-Sudbury District Services Board.

According to the release, the plan reflects an ongoing commitment to address the evolving needs in the district especially for the homeless and most vulnerable in their member communities.

In developing the strategic plan, they engaged extensively with partners across the Manitoulin and Sudbury Districts, including community members, local agencies, support services, municipalities, First Nations and associations.

To ensure transparency and objectivity in the process, they retained the services of a third-party consultant, Housing Services Corporation.

The Strategic Plan establishes the goals and objectives for Manitoulin Sudbury DSB with a focus in three key areas: expanding service integration, improve internal processes to enhance service delivery and make long-term investments to respond to emerging needs.
