By Rosalind Russell – The Elliot Lake Food Bank shelves and restocked and there is funding available for the short-term thanks to a big surge in support this year.
Food bank spokesperson, Len Kutchaw, says they have the final numbers for the 2025 Elliot Lake Fire Fighters Food Drive exceeding over $30,000 in local support for the agency.
He says food products totalled $18,513.00.
Kutchaw adds the public was also generous with their financial support providing over $12,500 for a grand total of $31,163.47.
The agency thanks the firefighters and volunteers for going door-to-door last week making a huge difference for the many clients in the community.
