Geriatrician Dr. Reva Adler joins St. Joseph’s Team in Sudbury

By Rosalind Russell – Northeastern Ontario’s only stand-alone rehabilitative and continuing care hospital in Sudbury welcomes Dr. Reva Adler to the team.

Dr. Adler, whose specialities include geriatric and internal medicine, has recently accepted a position as a Consulting Geriatrician with St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre.

Centre CEO, President Kari Gervais, says the centre specializes in rehabilitative, supportive and complex continuing care, helping patients — many of them older adults — regain independence, restore hope, and improve their quality of life so that they can return home.

Gervais adds Dr. Adler’s expertise will ensure older patients are receiving the latest best-practices and excellence in care to support them, and Dr. Adler will meet with patients virtually, as well as in person.

Gervais adds when construction is completed on its Lasalle Boulevard site this February, St. Joseph’s will have 136-beds between its two locations in Sudbury and Dr. Adler’s expertise will be part of the team.
