
By Rosalind Russell – The Ontario government is expanding access to mental health and addictions care with the launch of a new Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART) Hub in Sudbury.
According to the release, HART Hubs connect people to a range of comprehensive treatment and recovery services such as primary care, mental health services, addictions care, social services and employment support.
The Sudbury HART Hub will deliver services in collaboration with several partners beginning on Feb. 17.
The Sudbury HART Hub will open at 105 Elm St., with Health Sciences North serving as the lead agency .
The partners include partners include Health Sciences North, the City of Greater Sudbury, Shkagamik-Kwe Health Centre, Monarch Recovery Services, the Canadian Mental Health Association – Sudbury/Manitoulin and the Northern Initiative for Social Action (NISA).
