By Rosalind Russell – A huge thank you to the people of Nairn for being so welcoming during their February frolics.
This year they introduced the Cinnamon Bun Festival, which will become an annual event due to its success this year.
Ten anonymous bakers baked up six samples of their buns to thrill the judge.
It was a tough job for Dawn Nesom, and she even had a tie for first place and had to go back in and do another taste test.
In the end, the winners are: Third Place – Kaitlin Fraser, Second Place Sylvain Renon and First place: Jennel Tessier.
Mayor Amy Macey was on hand to present the winners with their awesome prizes.
There were also several vendors and organizations on hand throughout the weekend, including one yummy booth selling Girl Guide Cookies and guests, the Espanola Public Library!
And, this year, the jug curling attracted eight teams, one of the best turnouts they have had in recent years.
