By Rosalind Russell – Friends and family are coming together to host back-to-back hockey games as a fundraiser to help Greg Bellmore’s family while he receives ongoing treatment for pancreatic cancer.
Greg, who was born and raised in Espanola, was diagnosed with advanced stage, inoperable, pancreatic cancer in September.
Despite chemo treatments, the prognosis is not good, so the community is coming together to help ease the financial stress so his family can enjoy their remaining time together.
The Greg Bellmore Family Fundraiser Hockey Games will take place April 4th at the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex.
There will be two games, one at 7 p.m., the second at 8 p.m., as well as a raffle, silent auction and door prize with all the proceeds going to the family.
There will be cash and e-transfer donation methods available at the games.
