During the 40 days of Lent, grade 7 students at École élémentaire catholique La Renaissance (Espanola) explored three meaningful ways to grow closer to God: prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Students were also invited to create wonderful repetitive-structure books inspired by the theme “During Lent, I can…”. As part of Holy Week, the students put their learning into action by practicing almsgiving in a concrete way. They generously gave their time by sharing their literary creations with younger students at the school. It was a heartwarming moment of faith, sharing, and kindness for the Lynx of La Renaissance.
