By Rosalind Russell – Espanola council has proclaimed May as Community Living Month.
Mayor Doug Gervais says Community Living Espanola is an organization which works to improve the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities through partnership and collaboration with the wider community.
He adds since the organization has been providing services since 1963 and is such a vital part of the community, council is proud to recognize their role as part of the province-wide awareness campaign.
Gervais says creating inclusive communities is a priority for Espanola and he and council will take part in raising the Community Living flag this Friday at 11 a.m. at Town Hall.
The public is invited to take part.
