East Algoma OPP request public help in animal cruelty case

By Rosalind Russell – East Algoma OPP are investigating the discovery of several deceased domestic animals.

Constable Bev Gauthier says last Thursday evening, officers responded to an animal cruelty complaint after a cardboard box containing deceased domestic animals was discovered in a wooded area along a trail near Mountain Glen Road and Solomon Street in the Town of Blind River.

She says police are reaching out to anyone who may have seen anyone or have footage of an individual carrying a corrugated cardboard box to contact their office.

The investigation is ongoing.
