Manitoulin Health Centre welcomes two new doctors and a dietician to the staff

By Rosalind Russell – The Manitoulin Health Centre is welcoming two new physicians and a registered dietician to its staff on Manitoulin Island.

According to the release, Dr. Kristina Barabas, Dr. Jun Park, and Registered Dietitian Jenelle McAuley will be joining the Manitoulin Central Family Health Team next week.

Dr. Jun Park completed medical school in the United States and his residency in Ottawa and over the past 10 years, has provided locum services to many northern and rural towns including Wawa and Manitouwadge. 

Dr. Kristina Barabas pursued her undergraduate training at the University of Debrecen in Hungary before returning to Ontario to complete her residency through the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM). 

Since completing her residency, Dr. Barabas has worked as a rural locum in both Southwestern and Northern Ontario, including Manitoulin Island.

And also joining the team as a Registered Dietitian, Jenelle McAuley brings a strong background in clinical nutrition and community health to assist patients.
