By Rosalind Russell – A new name, a new look, and a new, easy-to-navigate website for Santé St. Joseph Health.
Formerly St. Joseph Health Centre of Sudbury, the organization specializing in rehabilitative and long-term care to support adults as they age has a new bilingual name that reflects the communities it serves.
President and CEO Kari Gervais says its reach now extends beyond Sudbury including Manitoulin Island with its growing family of homes and clients who are referred to its rehabilitative care hospital.
She adds St. Joseph’s new website, StJosephHealth.ca, will also help the public find the care they need at one of its three long-term care homes – in Sudbury, Chelmsford, and Gore Bay – or at its rehabilitative care hospital.
Gervais says they also have a new logo to reflect that care.
The launch took place on Monday.
The three elements of our new logo mirror our mission to respond to the needs of the whole person – body, mind, and spirit,” says Gervais. “The hands reflect our value of service and the people who deliver care, the shield symbolizes our values of integrity and excellence, and the heart, our care with purpose and compassion. Together, the elements underline the dignity of the human spirit.”
The purple and the hands with their wing-like form, also hark back to an earlier logo from St. Joseph’s beginnings as an acute care hospital in Sudbury.
This year, St. Joseph celebrates 75 years of delivering compassionate care to people in the region.
