By Rosalind Russell – An Espanola woman is proud to have raised funds for breast cancer patients and their families as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
Lisa Sowers, a breast cancer survivor working at Robinson’s Pharmasave in Espanola’s downtown held the fundraiser with the assistance of the local business.
She says $550 was raised and will go directly to families in care at the same cancer centre that helped save her life.
Sowers adds the winner of the gift basket is Maureen Bell of Espanola.
