By Rosalind Russell – Cambrian College is looking at introducing two new programs in September, one focused on data analytics, the second on building construction.
College vice-president Janice Clark, says the one-year, three-semester Data Analytics graduate program will focus on data collection, ethics, data visualization, markets and more.
She says students will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard software and tools, graduating with the specialized expertise that employers are looking for.
She adds with the high demand for skilled workers in building trades, Cambrian is also preparing a new, two-year Building Construction Technician – Carpentry Diploma Program to launch in September.
The program will equip students with advanced technical knowledge, hands-on experience and business fundamentals for residential and light commercial building projects.
Applications are now open for both programs with openings for full- and part-time students as well as on line programming will be available.
