By Rosalind Russell – Elliot Lake Retirement Living celebrated community late last month with several grants to local organizations.
According to the release, the organization hands out yearly cheques to various organizations as part of their Community Grant Program.
The program was created to give back to the community by supporting activities, programs, projects, and individuals that help make Elliot Lake a better place to live.
The Mt Dufour Ski Hill received $16, 250, $10,350 to the local art club, $10,000 to the food bank, $8,050 for the XC Bike and Ski Club, $2,400 for the Grace Christian Centre of Elliot Lake Community Garden and $1,800 to the local Model Railroad Club.
