
By Rosalind Russell – The Espanola Regional Hospital & Health Centre has received a donation from a local bank for ongoing trauma training.
According to the release, the Espanola branch of the Royal Bank provided $10,000 to go towards the integration of TIDES, an acronym which stands for Trauma-Informed Deescalation and Engagement Strategies.
The training also focuses on mental health & addictions education for Registered Nurses working in the hospital’s Emergency Department.
The cheque presentation was made earlier this week.
