By Rosalind Russell – Espanola council has given approval to hire a company to digitize their housing systems and housing rolls as part of the Strategic Plan.
Treasurer Julie Bouthillette says the corporate services committee recommended to council the digitization project be awarded to Polar Imaging Digitization for nearly $37,000 and funded through the Housing Accelerator Funds.
She says in May, the town obtained the monies adding council approved the digitization of the property and role files and received three quotes with Polar winning the tender.
She says the digitization process will take place over the next couple of months with implementation in time for the new year.
