Grand opening of Cornerstone Homes held in Espanola

By Rosalind Russell – The grand opening of the new Cornerstone Homes was held in Espanola last Friday (October 17th).
Brian Saunderson, the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing says the investment is helping strengthen the community of Espanola by creating safe and stable homes for residents in need.
Located at 661 Queensway Avenue, the complex includes a mix of one-bedroom units, all fully furnished with several designed to be fully accessible.
The building has a shared laundry room, a common room, and an office for support staff
Espanola Mayor Doug Gervais adds housing is a top priority in Espanola and the opening of the new units will have a lasting impact for years to come.
The new one-floor apartment building is owned by Manitoulin-Sudbury District Services Board and is in a residential neighborhood close to parks, shopping and the hospital.
Congratulations to the Manitoulin-Sudbury District Services Board on the opening of the new facility, adds MPP Bill Rosenberg and board chair, Kevin Burke.
