By Rosalind Russell – Manitoulin OPP is hosting its Second Annual Stuff-A-Cruiser event next week in honour of the late Constable Marc Hovingh.
OPP Constable Berkley Parisien says the food drive will be held at the Mindemoya Foodland next Wednesday, November 19th from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
She says OPP officers were joined by MNR Conservation Officers and volunteers last year in helping to load a cruiser three times, collecting 1,790 pounds of food and $7,570 in cash donations.
She adds they hope to meet or exceed that goal this year.
Parisien adds volunteers are more than welcome to help as they honour the life and legacy of Hovingh who was fatally shot while on duty in November 2020.
