By Rosalind Russell – Lifeguards are now on duty at Clear Lake beach in Espanola.
Lifeguards set up the beach area last week and completed their first aid and emergency training yesterday.
It was also their first day of work and they will be on site in the afternoons throughout the summer.
The program is run by the town with the Espanola Lions covering the cost of weekend coverage.
