
By Rosalind Russell – The province is investing $10.8M to re-launch French-language courses at the Université de Sudbury, in partnership with the University of Ottawa.
Starting this September (2025), Université de Sudbury will offer programs in health sciences, management and commerce, social sciences in more at its Sudbury campus.
Minister of Francophone Affairs Caroline Mulroney says it shows the government’s commitment to strengthening access to French-language postsecondary education, especially in Northern Ontario.
The province’s French-language postsecondary system is the largest in Canada outside of Quebec, with nine institutions serving more than 33,200 students in the delivery of French and bilingual programs.
