By Rosalind Russell – Canada Post has proposed a transformation plan to the federal government.
According to CEO, President Doug Ettinger, the plan details the action the corporation is prepared to take to deliver the services Canadians need in a way that is financially sustainable.
He says on September 25th, the government removed long-standing barriers to reform and directed Canada Post to implement changes, like converting the remaining households to community mailboxes, modernizing post offices, reducing overhead costs, and amending service standards for letter mail.
Ettinger adds they will continue to collaborate with the feds and once it is endorsed will release the final plan to the country.
