Sheshegwaning First Nation election results for chief and council

By Rosalind Russell – A Manitoulin Island First Nation has released its election results for chief and council.

The newly elected Chief of Sheshegwaning First Nation is Nicole Bush.

Squaring off against four other candidates, Bush took 98 of the votes, followed by Ann Cada-Hamelin with 39, Nancy R Cada with four, Gene Cada with three, and Albert Cada with two.

The newly elected councillors out of a slate of 16, are Jennifer Sampson, Caeley Genereux, Ron McKinley, and Angela McLeod.

The electoral office also thanked their outgoing council: Chief Alana, and councillors Ann Cada, Marie McLeod and Robin Malley for their years of service.
