By Rosalind Russell – Waubetek Development is opening up the application process for Indigenous-based e-businesses.
According to the release, eligible businesses must be a small to medium individual, family or community-owned operation with no more than 500 employees and at least 50% owned and controlled by a First Nations person.
To apply for the e-commerce grant, applicants must provide a description of their business and how they will the funding, up to $5,000.
This could include setting up a web portal, a platform for business promotion, digital tools and more.
The program also includes training, marketing, website security and digitalization.
