By Rosalind Russell – An Algoma District student has a third consecutive win under her belt for her poetry.
According to the release, the Ontario Secondary School Teacher’s Federation hosts the annual Prose and Poetry Contest with this year’s theme being Better Together Than Alone.
Aspen Law, a Grade 12 student at École secondaire Cité-Supérieure in Marathon, has won the Regional Student Achievement Award for the Algoma District.
This marks Aspen’s third time named the regional winner in 2024 and 2026, as well as the provincial winner in 2025.
Law will now compete at the provincial level to see if she can make it a back-to-back win this year.
