By Rosalind Russell – There were no injuries or fatalities following a residential fire in Blind River.
Fire Chief Ryan Belair says on Wednesday evening around 5 p.m., 16 firefighters responded a structure fire in the west end of YoungFox Road.
He says the crew was able to extinguish the fire quick with no fatalities or injuries to the residents, but one firefighter did need treatment for minor injuries.
He adds the cause of the fire is still under investigation and no estimates of loss are available at this time.
