By Rosalind Russell – Commuters in the Elliot Lake area are being asked to take part in a survey.
Manager of Economic Development, Steve Antunes, informed council that the city’s department is looking to identify the number of residents who travel outside of the community for work, specifically those that travel more than 400 kilometers.
He says collecting this data will help them seek out new opportunities and partnerships to benefit residents who must travel for work but still call Elliot Lake home.
He adds it will also be used to develop the plans for the local airport, since the facility is used for medivac or for institutions, such as colleges.
However, he stresses the survey is open to everyone who travels.
A link to the survey is on our website – deadline for responses is May 18th.
