
By Rosalind Russell – Algoma-Manitoulin MPP Bill Rosenberg was on tour last week making major announcements in the Algoma and Manitoulin Districts.
He kicked off his first stop in Sault Ste. Marie early Friday morning distributing nearly $5 million for water infrastructure and primary health care.
In Espanola he met with health care workers to announce $1,320,900 to connect up to 3,098 people to primary care in Sudbury, Espanola, Manitoulin Island, and Elliot Lake, and another $1,580,400 to connect up to 1,575 people to primary care in Wiikwemkoong.
At a stop in Assiginack Township on Manitoulin Island Rosenberg presented a grant of $16,400.48 for senior spaces and a grant for the fire department.
He capped off the day with six different announcements in Wikwemikong focusing on primary care, policing, the arts, and the seniors centre, for over just $1.69 million.
