By Rosalind Russell – It’s Education Week and schools in our districts will be hosting various events to mark the milestone.
Rainbow District School Board Education Director Bruce Bourget says schools will mark Education Week from May 4 to 8 beginning with Music Monday.
He adds the week provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate teaching excellence, student achievement, parental involvement and community support.
He says parents will have the opportunity to see their child’s talents highlighted and visit various classes throughout the week.
Bourget adds some schools will also host kindergarten orientation this week for the school’s newest students this September.
He says parents can contact their own child’s school to find out how they are individually celebrating Education Week.
