Manitoulin OPP seeking public’s assistance in fireworks-related investigation

By Rosalind Russell – The Manitoulin OPP is asking for the public’s assistance in an investigation involving fireworks being discharged in the direction of pedestrians in Little Current.

The OPP says around 10 pm on August 2, officers were on foot patrol along the Water Street Boardwalk in Little Current when they observed fireworks being set off around pedestrians.

Officers arrested an individual who appeared to be intoxicated but are now looking for witnesses to the incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and any witnesses are asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
