According to the release, Kim Poikkimaki was named the Nurse Leader and Role Model Star awards for leadership skills, and wealth of clinical knowledge shared with staff, students and patients alike.
Carlene Dufour was also presented with the Nurse Star Patient Advocate for her dedication, compassion and excellence in providing care to staff and residents alike within the long-term care facility.
The two were presented with certificates of achievement for their diligence and dedication to their chosen fields.
