By Rosalind Russell – Ontario Government House Leader Steve Clark has presented a motion at Queen’s Park to institute a single trail permit for ATVs right across the province.
And it has the wholehearted support of Cochrane-Timiskaming New Democrat John Vanthof.
Snowmobilers already have a single permit for all of Ontario.
Vanthof says party agreement hardly ever happens.
“It’s part of our lives in Northern Ontario and it could be so great if many more people experienced what we experience on a daily basis.”
Currently, Ontario is the only province without a single permit ATV system.
There are more than three-hundred-thousand insured ATVs in Ontario.
