By Rosalind Russell – The OPP Youth Foundation is hosting a bike rodeo on the Island in memory of one of its fallen members.
Marie Ford says the Marc Hovingh Memorial Youth Bike Ride and Rodeo is set to take place September 6th in Mindemoya.
She says registration is free and children just have to bring their bike and helmet to take part.
Ford adds there will also be a free barbecue and prizes, adding the day has also received the support of the other police services on Manitoulin Island and all kids are invited to take part.
She says registration is required but there is no limit to the children who wish to attend.
