By Rosalind Russell – Blind River has officially named a long-time volunteer as its 2026 Senior of the Year.
Algoma Manitoulin MPP, Bill Rosenberg, says he was delighted to attend, since the recipient of the annual award is the brother of his wife, Jeannine, so it is very much a family celebration.
Rosenberg presented Bazinet with a scroll and Blind River Mayor Sally Hagman presented the official certificate on behalf of all three levels of government.
Roseberg adds his brother-in-law is generous of spirit and has been part of many initiatives in town, adding it is a pleasure to see him acknowledged for those efforts throughout the decades.
