By Rosalind Russell – A popular Manitoulin Island tourist attraction has been reopened with limited access.
Bridal Veil Falls reopened last week for tourists and residents alike to enjoy.
According to the release, this Spring’s floods caused major damage to the walkways and trails along the water route.
The falls, which are usually open year round were closed down in mid-March due to the damage and to prevent injuries.
Volunteers have worked to clear the main site and there is now access to the falls.
However, the Kagawong Trail running along the waterway down to the North Shore Channel is still closed for safety reasons.
The trail is not expected to reopen within the next few months.
