By Rosalind Russell – Algoma Public Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at a long-term facility in Elliot Lake.
St. Joseph’s General Hospital CEO Jeremy Stevenson says the outbreak was declared on the second floor of St. Joseph’s Manor yesterday (Thursday).
He says only Essential Care Partners and visitors for essential/compassionate reasons will be permitted on the second floor.
Stevenson adds if people want more information, they can contact the health unit.
