By Rosalind Russell – The Elliot Lake Renaissance Active Living Centre has found a location in Elliot Lake.
at 6 Charles Walk.
According to the release, the previous centre, which was located at 2 Veteran’s way, was sold and the board began the process of finding a new home for the centre which is geared to senior services.
That new space is at 6 Charles Walk, the former Salvation Army Building, and is large enough to house their gym, programs, gatherings, public events and more.
The board will take over the space around June 15th and there are plans to host an open house, so volunteers will be needed to help with the clean up, and with some donations, painting and updating the space.
The grand opening is set for September 1st.
