By Rosalind Russell – Reconstruction of the city pool in Elliot Lake is progressing well and is tentatively set to be completed by early Spring 2024.
In its report, the city says demolition work and excavation are complete, and work is now underway on the pool shell in anticipation of plumbing and liner installation, as well as form work on the deck walls and line market storage, a new pool liner and finishes.
Several mechanical upgrades are also underway.
The contractor has reported that if all goes well and there are no supply chain issues, the work should be completed by the last week of March 2024.
