By Rosalind Russell – Elliot Lake has been chosen as one of the four finalists for Hockeyville.
The announcement was made this past Saturday and puts the city into the running for a $250,000 cash prize, which would go towards reconstruction work on Centennial Arena, which has been closed for several months due to structural problems.
The city could also win an NHL game for its fans.
It will be now up to the fans to vote for the winner with voting online opening on March 29th for a 48-hour period.
The three other communities includes Cochrane, Alberta, Wolseley, Saskatchewan and Enderby in British Columbia.
