Espanola council approves car show exemptions

By Rosalind Russell – Espanola council has given its approval for exemptions for the annual car show to be held late next month.

Council provided three exemptions; one allowing parking around The Oval adjacent to the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex, two, the closing of the streets to traffic in the immediate vicinity to ensure participant and visitor safety and, three, an exemption to the noise bylaw between the hours of eight am and four pm.

The Annual Knight Cruisers Car Show will be held on Saturday, May 25th and is one of the largest events of its kind in Northern Ontario featuring 100 of vintage vehicles, challenges for the kids, plant and craft show and demonstrations by local groups such as the firefighters and OPP.

Last year’s event attracted over 1,000 people and organizers are hoping to see the same enthusiasm this year.
