By Rosalind Russell – Espanola’s Royal Canadian Legion made a big donation to a Sudbury hospice.
Legion Branch #39 President Gary McPherson says he was proud to meet with representatives of the Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury last week to present a cheque for $8,700.
He says the donation was made through their Poppy Fund to assist the organization in its operational costs in providing end-of-life services for those in need.
Maison McCulloch Hospice provides its services to people throughout the Sudbury and Manitoulin districts.
