Espanola/Massey golfer is on top of her game out on the links.

By Rosalind Russell – A long-time golfer from the Espanola/Massey area is on the top of the links in Canada.

Casey McNeil won the Pro Section of the PGA Women’s Championship of Canada this past weekend.

She finished second overall with an impressive -6 at Burlington Golf and Country Club.

McNeil has been golfing since she was a tween and has several titles under her belt including 2024 PGA of Canada Female Player of the Year.

She also represented the North as a member of the 2010 and 2011 Team Ontario bringing home a bronze from the Summer Games.

McNeil golfs around the world but calls the North Shore Corridor home and trains through the Timberwolf Golf Academy in Garson.

Other titles McNeil has held go back well over a decade including Titleist Golf Club Fitting Professional; 2019 Symetra Tour Member; September 2013 Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Month; 2013 University of Wisconsin Green Bay Invitational Champion; 2012-2016 NCAA Division 1 Golfer at Charleston Southern/Chicago State University and 2012 Big South All-Conference Freshman Team.
