By Rosalind Russell – The 2026 Espanola Men’s Bonspiel returns this weekend with 25 teams in the field including the Northern Ontario Provincial Men’s Champions,
Team MacEwan, three-time defending bonspiel champion, Team Assad and Team Robert from Sault Ste. Marie who will be hosting the Police National Curling Championships later this season, will be taking part.
You can see Team MacEwan in action for their first game Friday at 5 p.m. at the Espanola Curling Club.
Teams from across the North Shore, Manitoulin Island, Sudbury and Sturgeon Falls along with a host of local teams will compete starting Thursday evening.
The finals take place Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m.
All curling and entertainment is free all weekend.
