By Rosalind Russell – The Espanola Paper Kings will officially kick off the 2026 Winter Carnival tonight with a game and a food drive at the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex.
The Kings, in partnership with Espanola Minor Hockey, are asking fans to bring non-perishable items to donate to the Espanola Helping Hand Food Bank.
The puck drops at 6:30 pm.
The game kicks off a full slate of events throughout the weekend including a Makers Market and business display at the complex, the Espanola/North Shore Snowarama, Elks Elimination Dinner, Dance and Draw, as well as free swimming, skating, and more.
