By Rosalind Russell – An Espanola woman is proud of taking part in the 2023 ALS Walk held in Sudbury this weekend.
Melanie Poirier was joined by several friends in her walk done in memory of her mother, Rita Poirier, who passed away from the disease.
She says up to $655 was collected in pledges that went towards research into the disease.
Poirier extends a thank you to everyone who supported her efforts this year.
